not to mess up my usual flow with text posts, but i was walking out of a store downtown and saw a man sitting on the street. i noticed he had an array of signs asking for assistance with either food or money. when we made eye contact, he quickly pulled out a sign that said only ”WEED?“

time for a haircut.

I know this experience well; I cut my dreadlocks this past August after having them for six years and I have not once been asked for weed or drugs since.

I have been busy in my sketchbook over the last couple of days working out a design for a friends tattoo. It’s slowly, but surely coming together and I hope to have a final design by tomorrow.

I wish that I could conduct my thoughts, and through them my voice during phonecalls in the same way that I can conduct my pen or pencil on the page when working on an art piece. Slow, steady, and together, not veering from here to there. Or perhaps I should place calls before my morning coffee.
